GENEVA — Nissan has announced it will premiere its GT-R supercar at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show next month, marking the first time Europeans will see the performance flagship since its debut at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show last fall. The car goes on sale in Europe a year from now.
Also making European debuts are the all-new Murano, which will go on sale there in October, and the zero-emissions Pivo 2 concept.
The Nissan GT-R has already reached pre-order status in the U.S. ahead of a June date for the first deliveries to customers. With its 480-horsepower 3.8-liter biturbo V6 engine, Nissan says, the GT-R recently made a lap of the Nordschleife at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany in 7 minutes, 38 seconds.
Pricing and other details for European customers will be announced at the Geneva show, Nissan says.
